FPS Personal Security and Practical Self Defense for Women:
One Semester (Women Only)
• Personal Security
• Practical Self Defense
• Personal Combat Skills

Frontline Personal Security is a specialized division of the FCA that focuses
exclusively on personal security training.

The FPS Personal Security and Practical Self Defense for Women course is
based on a class of the same name offered at Brigham Young University, which
was piloted by Women's Services and Resources and taught by Master
Instructor Joshua Uda as a two-credit-hour course, STDEV 214 R.  After
teaching at BYU for four years, Instructor Uda is now offering this course
commercially for the first time.

FPS for Women is designed to prepare women to live a healthy, active, and
safe life by properly managing risk and by responding effectively to common
threats to personal security.  The course will focus on preparation and
prevention; however, sections of the class will involve physical self defense.

The self defense techniques taught in the course are simple and effective and
will be customized for each participant's body size and fitness level.  The course
will only last one semester since the system is designed to help students gain
rapid improvement over a short period of time.  Additional training is available
but will not be mandatory for those who successfully complete this course.
