Applications:
Tactical Action Pursuit (TAP): Action-Pursuit Athletes and Enthusiasts
FCA TAP is designed for action-pursuit athletes and enthusiasts who are looking
for a competitive edge and want to improve their skills in the sport. FCA courses
will introduce students to the basic components of combat in action pursuit, and it
will help individuals and teams develop a strong foundation in the fundamentals
of fire and maneuver for objective-based games.
Force-on-Force Training: Law Enforcement or Military Professionals
Combat consists of two elements, fire and maneuver. Unfortunately, these
elements are rarely combined during training. Fire is practiced on the shooting
range, and maneuver is occasionally practiced in training exercises, but most
departments and units simply do not have the budget or resources to provide
regular force-on-force training.
Without force-on-force training, law enforcement and military professionals often
develop sloppy technique and adopt ineffective tactics that can be deadly in
real-world, hostile encounters.
FCA courses not only provide an affordable force-on-force solution but also give
professionals the opportunity to study and apply the most effective doctrine,
strategy, tactics, and techniques for combat applications.
Personal Security and Practical Self Defense: Civilians
People have always been concerned about their personal security, but as news of
active shooter incidents, criminal abductions, murders, and terrorist attacks
become more prevalent, many are taking measures such as purchasing stun
guns or acquiring concealed carry permits without first obtaining the training
necessary to properly use such weapons.
Though most people will never have to survive an active-shooter incident or a
home invasion, the sensational nature of these hostile encounters leads many to
prepare for such events, while neglecting common security threats that cause
hundreds of injuries and deaths every day.
Whether you're a student visiting a foreign country, an executive traveling on
business, a single woman living alone, or just an average person concerned
about every-day safety, acquiring a weapon or taking a self defense class is never
enough to keep you safe.
Personal security is a complex and convergent discipline that must be
understood before it can be practiced. Unfortunately, many people will take a self
defense class to gain "confidence" and will then take unnecessary risk, feeling
they have a free pass to be reckless. Others will arm themselves and live in fear
of the sensational yet unlikely events they have seen on the news, while missing
out on rich experiences that involve manageable risks.
FCA Personal Security courses are designed to prepare participants to live a
healthy and safe life by properly assessing and managing risk at all levels of the
Survivability Scale. Students will learn to prepare for, prevent, escape, and
preempt security threats, but will also be taught simple and effective techniques
for physical self defense and will be instructed in the proper selection and use of
common personal security weapons.
